Project Description

A competition brief by penguin. I chose to give this cover lots of personality to portray the strong mixed emotions in the book. It is an adult book so I could go all out on the design. I did this with dramatic typography which upheld the theme of the book.  I used the metal type press to create this typographic cover. It was a project that I could be creative with and push boundaries. This piece of work is now used in typography and book cover lectures by Dr Simon Bell.
